Monetization Timeline

Project how long it takes to hit the YouTube Partner Program thresholds based on your upload cadence and average views.

// Assumptions

New subscribers ≈ views × 2% per video. Public watch hours ≈ views × watch minutes ÷ 60. YouTube Partner Program needs 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months.

// Frequently asked questions

Q01What are the YouTube Partner Program requirements?

To turn on ad revenue you need 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 valid public watch hours in the past 12 months (or 10 million Shorts views). This tool projects how long both thresholds take at your current pace.

Q02How is the timeline calculated?

Each week you add (uploads × views × sub %) new subscribers and (uploads × views × watch minutes ÷ 60) public watch hours. We divide each 1,000-sub and 4,000-hour goal by your weekly rate, and your monetization date is whichever goal finishes last.

Q03Why is the sub conversion percentage editable?

Sub-to-view ratios vary a lot by niche and hook quality. The 2% default is a reasonable starting point for a growing faceless channel, but tutorial and finance channels often convert higher while pure entertainment can be lower - adjust it to match your own analytics.

Q04Which threshold usually takes longer?

For most faceless channels the 4,000 watch-hours goal is the bottleneck, since short average view durations add hours slowly. Longer, bingeable content reaches watch hours faster; punchy subscribe-driving hooks reach 1,000 subs faster. The tool tells you which one is limiting you.
